The McCook Community College Social Justice Group is planning a suicide prevention/awareness event, “Light of Hope” May 3 on campus from 5-7 p.m. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is helping organize the event, with speakers.

McCook Community College’s Social Justice Group took a few hours out of the week Tuesday to celebrate “Pride Night” at the Student Union. Students enjoyed diversely-colored snacks, screened the film “Milk,” along with discussion and other activities.

The McCook Community College Social Justice Group set up a Thanksgiving Display this week to encourage students to write down tangible things they are thankful for.

Sophomore Annika Johnson, McCook, and freshman Kyler Gaston, Trenton, helped set up an ADHD information station in the Learning Commons for the McCook Community College Social Justice Group.
